Saint Francis Opens Outdoor Season with School Record, NAIA Standard at Pioneer Invite
LEXINGTON, Ky. - The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) track and field teams opened the outdoor season at the Pioneer Invite, hosted by Transylvania University, on Saturday, March 21.
The Cougars recorded multiple top-10 finishes and all-time program top-10 performances, highlighted by one school record and an NAIA B Standard mark.
Hannah Boersema won the javelin with a throw of 42.40m (139' 1"), earning an NAIA B Standard mark.
Arina Taylor set a new school record in the 200m, finishing second with a time of 26.12. Taylor also placed second in the 100m with a time of 12.98, the fifth-fastest in program history.
Stefany Dominguez ran the fourth-fastest time in school history in the 100m, winning the event in 12.86.
Rileigh Baumer won the 400m with a time of 1:02.56, ranking among the top 10 in program history.
In the 3,000m steeplechase, Victoria Clibon took first place in 12:21.78, while Lauren Moore placed second with the seventh-fastest time in program history at 12:44.14.
The women's 4x400m relay team of Kiara Bahena, Baumer, Moore and Clibon finished first with the third-fastest time in program history at 4:12.84.
