Saint Francis Competes at Indiana Little State Championships
MARION, Ind. - The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) outdoor track and field teams competed at the 120th Annual Indiana Little State Championships on the campus of Indiana Wesleyan University on April 11-12.
The USF women's team finished in 14th place overall.
Hannah Boersema secured second place in the javelin with a throw of 39.78m (130' 6").
Mariah Maley finished fourth in the 400-meter hurdles, clocking in at 1:04.66. She also placed in the top ten in the javelin with a distance of 31.41 meters (103' 1").
Kiara Bahena achieved top-ten finishes in both the 800-meter and 1,500-meter events. The sophomore took eighth place in the 800 meters with a time of 2:20.36 and also finished eighth in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:47.16.
Up next, the Cougars will compete at the Wilmington Invite and GVSU Extra Weekend Meet on Saturday, April 26.
