Boersema Hits NAIA 'B' Standard; Cougars Compete Well at Blizzard Buster

OXFORD, Ohio - The University of Saint Francis outdoor track and field teams competed at the Blizzard Buster hosted by Miami University on Friday, March 21. 

Junior Hannah Boersema won the javelin with an NAIA 'B' Standard mark of 40.84m (134').

Linda Koech took second in the 5,000m with a USF top-10 time of 18:19.35. 

Lea Kunstmann's time of 4:44.21 in the 1,500m was good enough for third place overall and puts her fifth on the USF all-time top-10 list.

Sophomore Kiara Bahena finished in fourth place in the 800m, crossing the finish line in a time of 2:18.57. 

Mariah Maley competed in the 400m hurdles, finishing in fourth place with a time of 1:06.08. 

Marissa Goodwin ran her way to a new Saint Francis top-10 time in the 3,000m at 11:35.77. 

Up next, the USF outdoor track and field teams will travel to Wilmington College to compete in the Jennastrong Track & Field Invitational on April 5.
