Cougars Edged by Red Wolves
FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) Cougars hosted the Indiana University East Red Wolves at the Wildwood Racquet Club on Friday, February 27.
IU East edged Saint Francis 4-3 in a tightly contested match.
In doubles play, Isabela Florez and Alejandra Parra secured a 6-4 victory at No. 1, while Blythe Collins and Madeline Lomont earned a 6-4 win at No. 3.
In singles action, Parra picked up a win in straight sets at No. 1, 6-3, 6-1. At No. 5, Lomont battled through three sets, winning the opener 6-3 before dropping the second 6-2. The freshman responded with a 10-8 victory in the tiebreak to claim the match.
