GREENTOWN, Ind. – The University of Saint Francis Women's Tennis team traveled to Greentown, Indiana Wednesday night to compete with the IU-Kokomo Cougars. The USF Lady Cougars dropped their second match of 2023 to Kokomo 0-7.

The traveling/competing Lady Cougars consisted of Jessica Heline (Sr.), Alyssa Ciocca (So.), Sophia Vandegriff (Sr.), Elizabeth Gomez (Sr.), & Danielle Smith (Fr.). 

The duo of Vandergriff and Gomez fought hard in their doubles match-up with Kokomo's O'Rourke & Oliveira, but only came away with 2 sets to the host's 6. Jessica Heline highlighted a win for the Lady Cougars in her singles match-up with Kokomo's Zuun, taking a 6-1 & 6-0 advantage over the host. 

Alyssa Ciocca pushed her singles match-up to 3 sets, defeating Kokomo's Dunn in the second set, but was unable to pull through in the third.

The Lady Cougars are now 0-2 in their Spring 2023 season. The Lady Cougars will return home to host the Olivet College Comets on Wednesday February 22nd.
