FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) women's soccer team hosted the No. 6 Indiana Wesleyan University Wildcats for a Crossroads League matchup on Saturday, October 18.
IWU got on the scoreboard early with a goal in the 11th minute of action from Anna Pettitt to make it 1-0. The Wildcats scored again in the 20th and 32nd minutes to extend their lead while keeping the Cougars from scoring to go into halftime up 3-0.
Saint Francis was unable to slow Indiana Wesleyan's offensive attack as the Wildcats netted three more goals in the second half to secure the 6-0 victory. With the win, IWU remains undefeated in Crossroads League play at 6-0-1.
SF goalkeepers Alexis Pokley and Rachel Bova combined for nine saves, while Zoey Flora and Gwen Laurent each recorded a shot against the Wildcats.
Up next, Saint Francis women's soccer (7-7-1, 1-6 CL) will travel to Goshen College on October 25 before closing out the regular season at home against Marian University on October 29.
