FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The University of Saint Francis women's soccer team delivered a strong second half to secure a 2-0 victory over Huntington University on Saturday, October 11, at Bishop John M. D'Arcy Stadium.

The Cougars and Foresters battled in the first half, with both teams creating chances but neither able to find the back of the net as the score remained tied at 0-0 at halftime.

In the second half, Grace Hein and Evelyn Harkenrider each netted their sixth goals of the season. The Cougars' first goal came from a penalty kick by Hein in the 59th minute, as she placed the ball into the bottom left corner of the net, past the goalkeeper, giving Saint Francis a 1-0 lead. Just three minutes later, in the 62nd minute, Haylee Heflin passed to Harkenrider, who found the back of the net to extend the Cougars' lead. Saint Francis held off Huntington to secure the shutout victory and improve to 7-5-1 overall and 1-4-0 in league play.
