USF Battles to Scoreless Tie at Grace

WINONA LAKE, Ind. - The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) women's soccer battled to a scoreless tie in a road match at Grace College on Saturday, October 12.

Grace, who is receiving votes in the NAIA poll, was able to control possession of the ball throughout the match, but the USF defense held strong against the Lancers. In the final 18 minutes of action, the Cougars' defense made three important stops, including a save and two blocks. Neither squad was able to net a goal during Saturday's match as USF and Grace battled to a 0-0 tie.

Freshman Rachel Bova collected the clean sheet on Saturday night with eight saves in goal for the Cougars. Courtney Tobin and Madison Meeks each fired off a shot on Saturday.

Up next, USF women's soccer (8-2-4, 1-2-2) will host Goshen College during the Cougars' Pink Out game at Bishop John M. D'Arcy Stadium on Wednesday, October 16.
