FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) women's soccer team hosted No. 17 Indiana Wesleyan University during Homecoming Weekend on Saturday, September 28. The Cougars fell to the Wildcats by a final score of 2-0.
The Wildcats scored in the 22nd and 59th minutes of Saturday's game. The Cougars would try to rally, taking seven total shots against a tough IWU defense, but could not find the back of the net as Indiana Wesleyan picked up the win.
Madison Meeks and Taylor Swygart each landed a shot on goal for Saint Francis. Freshman goalkeeper Rachel Bova tallied four saves.
Up next, USF women's soccer (7-2-2, 0-2-0) will host Huntington University on Wednesday, October 2. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. at Bishop John M. D'Arcy Stadium.
