Cougars to Battle Broncos in NAIA Round of 16
FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Battle for the Red Banner continues as the University of Saint Francis (Ind.) women's basketball team faces Hastings College in the 2026 NAIA Women's Basketball National Championship Round of 16 on Thursday, March 19.

GAME NOTES
- The Cougars enter with an overall record of 29-4. Saint Francis finished the regular season 15-3 in Crossroads League play and was the conference tournament runner-up.
- Saint Francis was voted No. 6 in the final NAIA Women's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll.
- The Cougars defeated Brescia 84-56 in the NAIA First Round before topping College of Idaho 60-54 in the Second Round to advance to the Round of 16.
- Hastings enters with a 24-8 overall record. The Broncos went 17-5 in Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) play and reached the GPAC Tournament semifinals.
- Hastings was receiving votes in the final NAIA Top 25 Poll.
- The Broncos have made 22 national tournament appearances with three national titles and are back in the field for the first time since 2020.
- Hastings defeated Friends 104-75 in the First Round and Texas A&M–San Antonio 100-73 in the Second Round to advance to Sioux City.
- As a team, Saint Francis is averaging 72.8 points per game while shooting 49.1% from the field and 37.7% from three-point range. The Cougars also average 33.9 rebounds, 12.3 assists and 12.6 turnovers per game. Saint Francis leads the NAIA in field goal percentage and ranks third nationally in three-point percentage.
- Hastings is averaging 89.5 points per game while shooting 41.8% from the field and 32.6% from three-point range. The Broncos average 43.0 rebounds, 18.3 assists and 13.5 turnovers per game. Hastings ranks third in the NAIA in scoring and fifth in turnovers forced.
- Cali Gregory leads Saint Francis with 16.6 points per game. Taylor Fordyce has a team-best 48.4 three-point percentage, while Samiyah Stout leads the team with a 57.9 field goal percentage. Renna Schwieterman averages 6.0 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game.
- Bailey Kissinger leads Hastings with 13.2 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. Macy Bryant is shooting 44.8% from three-point range, while McKenna Yates averages 3.8 assists per game and Catelynn Bargen has a 50.0 field goal percentage.
