Rauwerda Wins Pole Vault; Humbert Takes Podium Finish at Crossroads League Championships
MARION, Ind. - The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) outdoor track and field teams competed in the Crossroads League Outdoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by Indiana Wesleyan University on May 1-2.
As a team, USF finished in ninth place with a score of 24.
Joey Rauwerda brought home a first-place finish in the pole vault with an NAIA 'A' Standard height of 5.00m (16' 4.75").
Hugo Humbert earned a runner-up finish in the 3,000m steeplechase with an NAIA 'B' Standard and new USF school record time of 9:52.31, earning him All-League honors.
Nick Nondorf ran in the 110m hurdles finals on Friday, finishing in sixth place with a new Saint Francis top-10 time of 15.42 seconds.
Sam Htoo competed in the javelin, where he finished in eighth place with a new top-10 mark of 44.58m (146' 3").
Quinn Clayton ran a new personal best and USF top-10 time in the 400m at 51.08 seconds.
Ethan Hille set a new USF-top 10 mark in the long jump at 6.13m (20' 1.5").
Up next, USF's National Qualifiers will prepare for the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships that will take place from May 21-3 on the campus of Indiana Wesleyan University.
