Men's Soccer Battles to 2-2 Draw Against LTU

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - University of Saint Francis (Ind.) men's soccer twice erased deficits to secure a 2-2 draw against Lawrence Tech on Wednesday evening at Bishop D'Arcy Stadium. 

Lawrence Tech opened the scoring in the 15th minute whenPablo Calvofinished off a pass fromAlexander Prenkocevic. The Cougars responded less than a minute later as Henning Bundschuhscored unassisted to level the match at 1-1. 

In the second half, Calvo struck again in the 75th minute to give the Blue Devils a 2-1 advantage. Just three minutes later, Saint Francis equalized when Unax Mendianetted his first goal of the season, assisted by Leander Wunder, to tie the match 2-2. Neither team would find the back of the net again as Wednesday night's matchup ended in a tie.

The Cougars held a 14-11 edge in total shots, including a 10-5 advantage in shots on goal, and earned six corner kicks compared to Lawrence Tech's one. SF goalkeeper Kevin Wachiaya Oneliusmade two saves, while Lawrence Tech'sGoncalo Duraeskept his team in it with seven stops. 

Saint Francis men's soccer (1-4-1) will travel to St. Mary-Woods on Saturday, September 13, for a 2:00 p.m. kickoff.
