Cougars Tied for No. 7 in First Regular-Season Women's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) women's basketball team is ranked tied for No. 7 in the first regular-season Women's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll, announced by the national office this week.

The Crossroads League has three teams ranked in the NAIA Top 25. After a 4-0 start to the season, Saint Francis is tied at No. 7, while Marian University moved up one spot to No. 4 and Indiana Wesleyan University dropped three spots to No. 13. Huntington University remains in the receiving votes category.

Four teams joined the Top 25 this week: Concordia University (Neb.), University of Rio Grande (Ohio), Montana Technological University and Loyola University New Orleans. Briar Cliff University (Iowa) and Concordia made the largest move in the poll, with Briar Cliff moving up 11 spots from No. 20 to No. 6 and CUNE from being unranked to No. 11. 

Saint Francis women's basketball (4-0) travels to Indiana University East on November 12 before facing No. 23 Indiana Tech on November 15.
